We are a family that have been expecting our second child for over four years now. We started the adoption process in the spring of 2006, submitted our paperwork to China in September of 2006 and have been waiting patiently for a child since. We finally we got our referral and plan to have the process completed and travel to China this coming spring!

Duck!

Dinner was the traditional Peking Duck at the signature Beijing restaurant for Peking Duck.

Meng and the other co-workers took us to dinner and ordered everything on the menu.

We had duck, of course.

We had duck's knees. (yes, they do have knees. I felt like the duck mafia breaking so many duck knees)

Duck heart.

Duck head.

Duck tripe.

Duck soup.

Even little pastries made to look like ducks.

Only thing not served was the quack.

Just in case this wasn't enough, we had pig's ears, seaweed salad, vinegared mushrooms, some type of spicy sea bean, spicy tofu, and probably a lot more that I forgot.

It was an amazing dinner and a great time. I bestowed on Jennifer's China co-workers that at least some Americans will eat traditional Chinese dishes and educated them about fortune cookies and General Tso's chicken. They never heard of either.
