We are a family that have been expecting our second child for over four years now. We started the adoption process in the spring of 2006, submitted our paperwork to China in September of 2006 and have been waiting patiently for a child since. We finally we got our referral and plan to have the process completed and travel to China this coming spring!

Just bring one of everything

I had said before, our paperwork steps from China went unusually fast. The LOA and the TA came way before we expected them and much quicker than other people's approvals. I now know why.
China was running out of food. This kid really eats and she knows what she wants. Yesterday she polished off 3 huge pork dumplings, a bowl of rice and some of my shrimp at dinner. However, at dinner she decided she was not interested in vegetables. Unlike lunch where she ate all the broccoli we could find. At dinner she was totally over it, and sent the broccoli flying across the
table.

In China, of course, they don't have "Chinese" restaurants. They are divided among the regional foods. Lunch was Hunan and diner was Shanghai. Both were wonderful, but for dinner I got a very spicy noodle soup. Beatrix has no problem with the spices as she releived me of most of the shrimp in my soup.
